This 7 foot high oak Christ figure hangs in the sanctuary of the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois. His head tilts forward towards the viewer a bit. His left hand denotes strength to hold the cares of the world. His right arm flows and his hand is cupped to hold the living water. Many people call this piece a crucifix, and indeed it is intended to represent a cross as well as the risen Christ. Return to the Gallery | |
