"Dancers I", Bronze, 12 inches high x 7" x 2. This piece was done first in clay while on vacation in Minnesota on the deck overlooking beautiful Battle Lake. I did a number of couples, which has become a theme for me. My wife and I have always wanted to dance and have never quite gotten around to learning. So I incarnated our hearts desire in this and "Dancers II." This one, as with most, went through a number of revisions before being fired in the kiln and sent to the foundry. I enjoyed pulling the clay out to form the female figure's gown. One of my art friends calls this my best piece yet. This is available in a silver patina colored bronze. Signed Limited Edition of 375.
"Dancers II", Bronze, 10 1/4 inches high x 6 1/2 wide by about 1 inch deep. Both this piece and "Dancers I" are intended to express the joy of being in love as the couple twirl each other, arm in arm, connected by the substance of life. There is both joy and humor in this one as the female figure bumps her partner with her hip. This one is available in either "Artic Soap Stone," "Amber Marble" patinas. Signed Limited Edition of 375.
"Dancing Couple III", Bronze, 11 3/4 inches high x 4 3/4 x 3 1/2. This piece started as a maquette for a larger stone sculpture. However, I liked it so much that I decided to make it in a limited edition bronze. Those with a stone-like patina are very lovely. I like this one becuae it expressed how "the two shall become one."
