Lorelei clay model. 11 inches high.

My very first wood sculpture way back in college was an abstract version of the Lorelei – a mythical siren figure on the rocks above the Rhine river in Germany. Ever since I have been wanting to do more work with that theme. This small clay model is realistic, except for the absence of face details. I may cast this one in bronze if there is enough interest. I do hope to sculpt a larger version in either walnut or cherry.
